Where do we start? To say our home buying process was a journey is a gross understatement. However, every step of the way we were helped, supported, championed and encouraged by our realtor (more of a family member now) Stephen Dial (Meyer&Dial of Cutler Real Estate). Stephen was great to work with and he made us feel special at every crossroad of the journey. We were so happy with our home buying experience with Stephen - regardless of whether you are buying or selling, he is your guy. As we were complete novices when it came to the property market, we needed a realtor with expertise - Stephen was just that and so much more. He always made us feel like his number one priority, answered all our questions right away and did more research than we ever expected. We could not believe how generous he was with his time, even writing and negotiating our offer when he was supposed to be on vacation! This highlighted not only Stephen's dedication to us as a client but also his warm and caring nature. Jim was excellent to work with. We had a very drawn out search process as we were moving from out of state, and Jim was very patient with us as we checked out properties. He moved quickly when we decided to put in an offer and was very insightful and experienced. He was also extremely fast to respond to us, be it an email or phone call. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything he does. Whenever we decide to move again in the future, the first thing we'll do is call Jim!

Its that time of year again... If you are thinking about doing anything in real estate, this is the time of the year to start planning your next steps. You are probably thinking about who you might want to work with. I own and manage a rental portfolio locally and handle nearly all aspects of my the business myself. When I decided to sell a couple properties I had the tough decision of doing it myself or working with a realtor. With reservation, I met with (or attempted to meet with) several of the "big names" you hear and see plastered around town. As expected, I was so turned off I didn't even think about it again for a few months. When I looked again I reached out to a few of the smaller and boutique brokers with much better results. Ultimately, Stephen won that selection round beating out several other fully qualified realtors. Stephen saw the most eye to eye with me on my visions and goals for the properties I was interested in selling. That was a decision I wont look back on. Stephen is very professional, very available and is very good at pulling the whole picture together. Paperwork is always online, quick and seamless. His recommended title office also nails it and makes my life easy. Stephen is also super personable regardless. We sold the first one last year the first day on the market for over asking, exceeding our goals for that property and more than leveraging the representation cost. He has my Short North building lot listing now and will be listing my next Short North home this spring. I am more than pleased. I don't say that much!
